At Shoalhaven Family Medical Centres (SFMC), we proudly operate as a 100% Bulk Billing service for all Medicare-eligible consultations and procedures.
Why Bulk Billing?
We choose to be a bulk billing practice because everyone in our community deserves equitable access to high-quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation.
Healthcare should never be a luxury, and we’re committed to removing cost as a barrier to receiving timely, compassionate medical care.
✅ What We Bulk Bill
We bulk bill:
- All Medicare-eligible GP consultations
- Chronic disease management plans and reviews
- Mental health care plans
- Vaccinations under the National Immunisation Program
- Health assessments (e.g. 45–49 health checks, over 75s, ATSI patients)
- Telehealth appointments (where eligible)
⚠️ Private Fees May Apply To:
Some services fall outside of Medicare and will attract a private fee. These include, but are not limited to:
Pre-employment medical assessments
Dive medicals (e.g. for recreational scuba diving certification)
Medicinal cannabis consultations or prescription renewals
Travel vaccinations and documentation
✍️ Third-party reports or certificates (e.g. legal, insurance, workplace requests)
We will always notify you of any costs before your consultation—no surprises, no fine print.
