Welcome to Vincentia Medical Centre
Since opening our doors in 2000 with just one doctor, Vincentia Medical Centre has grown to accommodate a team of 16 full-time and part-time doctors. Our mission remains steadfast: to provide the community with access to quality, caring, and affordable medical services.
At Vincentia Medical Centre, our collaborative healthcare team includes general practitioners (GPs), practice nurses (PNs), mental health nurses, podiatrists, an external pathology service provider, dietitians, and a dedicated practice administration team. Together, we strive to meet all your healthcare needs with compassion and professionalism.
Our proactive approach focuses on identifying and managing preventative and chronic diseases, addressing risky lifestyle behaviours, domestic violence, suicide risk, and falls prevention. We prioritise early intervention and seamless care coordination within our practice and the broader community.
We operate on an appointment basis, with options to book via phone, online through our app, or our website shoalhavenfamilymedicalcentres.com.au. Urgent medical issues are given immediate attention. While we endeavour to adhere to appointment schedules, unforeseen urgent medical needs may occasionally cause delays. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
At Vincentia Medical Centre, all services covered by Medicare are Bulk Billed, ensuring accessible healthcare for our community. This includes standard consultations, chronic disease management, and most diagnostic procedures.
Services outside Medicare coverage cannot be bulk billed and may incur out-of-pocket expenses. These services can include medical assessments for recreational or vocational licences, specific tests, or reports. To confirm whether a service is covered, please inquire at reception or consult your GP before your appointment.
We strive to provide transparent pricing information so that you can clearly understand any potential costs before proceeding with your healthcare services.
A “Cancellation Policy” of $40 may be applied for patients who do not attend or cancel within 2 hours of their scheduled appointment.
