Worrigee Medical Centre opened in 2008 with one doctor and has grown to include 10 part-time or full-time doctors as of 2024. Our primary goal is to provide the community with quality, compassionate, and affordable medical services.
Our collaborative healthcare team includes general practitioners (GPs), practice nurses (PNs), mental health nurses, podiatrists, an external pathology service provider, dietitians, and a dedicated practice administration team. Together, we focus on proactive healthcare, addressing preventative and chronic disease management, risky lifestyle behaviours, domestic violence, suicide risk, and fall prevention, and facilitating referrals for comprehensive follow-up care both within our practice and in the broader community.
Worrigee Medical Centre operates an appointment system, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for urgent medical needs. Phone, our online app, or at shoalhavenfamilymedicalcentres.com.au can schedule appointments. Our standard appointments are scheduled in 10-20-minute intervals. Please inform our staff when booking if you anticipate needing additional time or have forms to complete.

At Worrigee Medical Centre, all Medicare-covered services are bulk-billed, ensuring accessible healthcare for our community. This includes standard consultations, chronic disease management, and most diagnostic procedures.
Services outside Medicare coverage cannot be bulk billed and may incur out-of-pocket expenses. These services can include medical assessments for recreational or vocational licences, specific tests, or reports. To confirm whether a service is covered, please inquire at reception or consult your GP before your appointment.
